El 16 de octubre de 1992, un impresionante y ecléctico grupo de artistas se reunieron en el Madison Square Garden en la ciudad de Nueva York con el propósito de celebrar la música de Bob Dylan con motivo de su 30 aniversario de carrera. Reuniendo a grandes maestros de la música como Johnny Cash y Eddie Vedder, The Clancy Brothers y Lou Reed, el show celebró una vida verdaderamente notable de canciones frente a una audiencia de más de 18,000 personas. Calurosamente llamado el Bobfest por el participante Neil Young, el show fue transmitido por todo el mundo y presentaba un elenco de notables musicales que realizaban selecciones del incomparable libro de canciones de Dylan.
